Abdulaziz Al-Salloum Acquires 10% Stake in UAE-Based GlobalPay to Support Regional Expansion

GlobalPay, headquartered in the UAE, announced that Saudi technology executive Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Salloum has acquired a 10% stake in the company. The transaction agreements were signed today in Egypt in the presence of CEO Eng. Tamer Shawer, supporting GlobalPay’s regional expansion across fintech and digital payments.

GlobalPay serves as a regional platform in the UAE. It operates in Egypt through MasrPay for digital payment management solutions, and established GlobalPay KSA (Alam Al-Dafaa) to solidify its long-term presence in the Saudi market.

Eng. Al-Salloum brings extensive experience in Saudi Arabia’s tech sector, having led Duroob Technology and served as CEO of AppsPro, which was acquired by Accenture in 2021.

Eng. Tamer Shawer, CEO of GlobalPay, stated: “We are building a shareholder base that contributes experience and market knowledge alongside capital. We are connecting our operations in the UAE and Egypt with our Saudi expansion, ensuring every step creates real value for the market and customers rather than simply increasing our geographic footprint”.

Mr. Ali Taha, Chief Business Officer, added: “This is a partnership that creates meaningful value. We are building a regional ecosystem connecting the UAE, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, and Eng. Al-Salloum’s expertise adds important strength to that vision”.
