PayPal has agreed to acquire Israeli fintech Cymbio, deepening its move into AI-driven commerce following a partnership launched in late 2025. The deal, expected to close in the first half of 2026, comes as PayPal expands tools that enable payments and product discovery across AI platforms.
Founded in 2015, Cymbio provides a multi-channel e-commerce orchestration platform that helps merchants manage inventory, orders, billing, and reconciliation across marketplaces, retailers, and social commerce channels. Its technology already powers parts of PayPal’s agent-ready payments and store sync AI solutions.
As part of PayPal, Cymbio’s team and technology will enable Store Sync, one of PayPal’s agentic commerce services. Store Sync makes merchants’ product data discoverable within AI channels, and it includes the ability to seamlessly drop orders to their existing fulfillment and management systems. Importantly, merchants remain the merchant of record and retain customer relationships and control over their brand.
Abercrombie & Fitch, Fabletics, Ashley Furniture, Newegg, and Adorama are currently live with Store Sync on Microsoft Copilot and Perplexity.
