New research commissioned for Revolut highlights a growing opportunity to strengthen financial wellbeing in the UAE, one of the world’s most digitally advanced financial markets. The study suggests that while residents are highly engaged with digital finance, many are still looking for better tools to manage their money more confidently.
According to the research conducted with YouGov, financial capability in the UAE is largely self-driven, with around 69% of residents actively learning about money management on their own. At the same time, many respondents say they want greater transparency and real-time insights into their finances, particularly those managing international lifestyles across multiple financial platforms.
Despite strong digital adoption, challenges remain. Nearly half of respondents report moderate or low confidence in managing their finances, and many experience financial stress, highlighting the gap between access to digital banking and actual financial wellbeing.
The findings point to rising demand for advanced personal finance tools that can provide a unified view of spending, savings, and investments. Analysts say this trend could accelerate competition among fintech companies and traditional banks, pushing the industry toward more transparent and data-driven financial services.
As global fintech firms expand in the region, the UAE continues to position itself as a key hub for digital finance innovation, where improved financial management solutions may play a central role in the next phase of fintech growth.
