Samsung brings Galaxy AI Call Screening to Arabic users across the GCC

Samsung Gulf Electronics has introduced Arabic language support for its Galaxy AI-powered Call Screening feature, expanding one of its flagship artificial intelligence tools to Arabic-speaking users across the Gulf.

The update is designed to help users manage incoming calls more effectively by providing a live transcript of a caller’s reason for calling before the recipient decides whether to answer. The feature addresses a growing need in the GCC, where consumers frequently receive calls from delivery services, banks, businesses and unknown numbers.

The Arabic rollout broadens the accessibility of Galaxy AI, reinforcing Samsung’s strategy of tailoring AI-powered experiences to regional users.

“At Samsung, we place a great focus on making our innovations more accessible and relevant to users across the region,” said Fadi Abu Shamat, Vice President and Head of the Mobile eXperience Division at Samsung Gulf Electronics.

“With Call Screening now available in Arabic, we are giving more people the ability to take control of their calls in a language that feels natural and familiar. This is another step in our commitment to delivering Galaxy AI experiences that are as relevant in the Gulf as they are anywhere in the world.”

Available on the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, Call Screening can be enabled through the device settings by downloading the preferred language pack. The feature now supports 16 languages, with 23 language and dialect options.

When an incoming call is received, Galaxy AI answers on the user’s behalf and asks the caller to state the purpose of the call. The user’s device then generates a live transcript, allowing them to review the information before choosing whether to answer, decline or respond with a message.

Samsung said the feature only records the interaction between the caller and the AI assistant. Once the user answers the call, recording stops automatically. Users can also choose whether to enable automatic screening for all incoming calls or activate the feature selectively.

The latest update forms part of Samsung’s broader strategy to localise its Galaxy AI ecosystem by expanding language support and delivering AI capabilities that better reflect the needs of users across the Middle East.
