Abu Dhabi–based technology startup Skipr has raised $2 million in a seed funding round, giving the company an estimated $10 million valuation.
Founded in 2023 by Adnan Fatayerji and Andreas Hartl, the startup is building what it describes as an “autonomous trust fabric“ — a technology framework designed to enable secure interoperability between independent AI systems. The platform aims to help organizations run and connect intelligent systems across different environments while maintaining control over data and decision-making.
Skipr positions itself as a sovereign Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) provider focused on enabling governments and enterprises to safely deploy and manage AI infrastructure. Its technology is intended to allow AI systems operating across organizations, clouds, and borders to communicate, coordinate, and exchange value in a secure and compliant manner.
The company collaborates with telecommunications providers, AI and cybersecurity labs, and data center partners to deliver sovereign AI digital services at both national and enterprise levels. Through features such as cryptographic identity, policy-based routing, and auditable interoperability, the platform is designed to ensure secure and transparent data and transaction flows aligned with regulatory requirements.
The newly secured funding will support Skipr’s growth within Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global technology ecosystem, as the startup expands its AI infrastructure solutions for governments and large organizations.
According to CEO Andreas Hartl, the company is focused on building a foundational layer for the next phase of AI development, where autonomous systems increasingly need secure ways to interact and operate at scale.
