Yolo Investments accelerates MENA expansion

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of the Abu Dhabi Global Market authorised Yolo Investments to manage Fund III, its third and most ambitious fund. The milestone follows several months of work across the legal, compliance, and operations teams and is being shared with stakeholders who have been closely following the process.

Abu Dhabi was selected as a strategic domicile for the fund, reflecting its English common law framework, the principles-based regulatory approach of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), and its position within one of the world’s deepest pools of institutional capital. According to the firm, operating within the same jurisdiction as its limited partners has become a key requirement for institutional allocators, with Abu Dhabi meeting all three criteria.

Fund III targets a raise of $250 million. Building on its previous strategy, the fund will continue to focus on Series A to C investments in high-conviction ventures, maintaining a global mandate with a strong emphasis on the MENA region. The investment thesis remains centered on backing entrepreneurs operating at the intersection of financial technology, crypto, and gaming.

The firm highlights increasing convergence across these sectors, noting that fintech infrastructure increasingly supports gaming ecosystems, while gaming operators are becoming key customers for fintech and crypto solutions. This integrated portfolio approach, developed over a decade of active management, is positioned as a core differentiator.

Fund III follows the performance of Fund II, which reported a net IRR of 51.6% and a TVPI of 1.36x as of 31 December 2025. Yolo Investments currently finalizing legal documentation, onboarding committed limited partners, and expects deployment to begin immediately following the first close.
